Hi! My name is Mary Uncustomary England.

I’m a published author, life coach, event speaker, podcaster, and team building facilitator. I have two degrees in Psychology. Previously, I worked at a psychiatric rehabilitation center for five years, creating curriculums for courses for 100 adults with mental illness. I’ve run my own business since 2013, where I created my own job title: Merriment Maker.

I actively study psychology, positivity, and fun. I’ve coached people 1:1 for over almost a decade with glowing reviews. I don’t base my work on hunches or tote bag inspiration. It’s influenced by research, science, and action. Let’s just say I have my 10,000 hours.

My Merriment Making Method will always provide you with actionable steps and ideas to get you out of your head and into the world.

How many texts do you get?
You'll receive 5 texts a week!
What's the point of the Teachable account?
For billing and you can see the texts posted here as well. If you're international and can't sign up for texts, you can view the texts in this way as an alternative.
Is this available internationally?
No, sorry. You need to be in the United States with a USA number. I can only text numbers I could text regularly.
Do I need to be able to text to do this?
Your phone needs to be able to receive and view texts for this to be functional and helpful. You definitely don't need to be able to text back, though. So if you don't know how to text but you know your phone has a texting plan and you can see them, that works. The texts are uploaded to the Teachable platform, so you can also choose to view theme in the Curriculum if you choose instead.
Will I be charged for texting?
Whatever your phone plan charges for texting applies here. This is like I'm texting you just like anyone else. I'm not responsible for any texting or other phone charges.
Do the texts include images?
Yes. Almost every texts includes a fun or positive affirmation or image. No videos or GIFs, just still images.
What if I'm already in the Merriment Makers?
Then you're already getting this service and it would be silly for you to purchase it.
What happens if I reply "Stop" in response to the text messages?
This will automatically stop you from receiving any future text messages from the Merriment Texts. However YOU are still responsible for canceling your payment as you will still have access to the portal. If you have replied "stop" in error, please contact me via e-mail at [email protected] with the subject "Merriment Texts".
